Welcome to the Port of Shelton
The Port’s industrial properties support over 1,000 jobs and have nearly limitless potential for job generation. We invite you and your business to explore our advantages.
Port businesses benefit from low overhead costs (for land and electric power), competitive wage and taxation costs, excellent access to the I-5 corridor, and a convenient multi-modal transportation network (on-site rail and air, and interstate freeway access).
Port amenities include modern infrastructure, such as 277/480v 3-phase power, potable water and fire flow, storm water, sewer, natural gas, and fiber optic telecommunications.
Port of Shelton land and building leases offer a wide variety of terms. Rental fees are considered fair and competitive for the Mason County region. All leases are triple net, meaning the lessee pays for all utilities, other terms apply for multi tenant facilities. The Port is required to collect a 12.84% Leasehold Excise Tax levied by the State Department of Revenue on all leases.
Leases offer flexibility and greater cash flow while the business prospers. Precious capital can go into the operational side of the business such as labor, equipment, machinery and inventory instead of tying up large sums used in land purchases.
We look forward to working with you in the near future.
