Jeff neely appointed to Vacant seat
May 14, 2026. The Commission appoint Jeff Neely to fill the vacant Commissioner seat. Jeff Neely will be sworn in at the next Commissioners meeting June 2, 2026.
Commissioner Vacancy Process begins
April 28, 2026. A special meeting was held to begin the process to fill Commission seat Position Number 1. The Commissioners nominated Jeff Neely for the position. Registered voters within the Port district may sugguest additional qualified candidates. The Port will be accepting nominations until 4pm on May 13, 2026. Candidates must be registered voters and reside in the Port district to be considered. After the submission period closes, the Board will hold a special meeting to review all eligible candidates and appoint a new commissioner to serve the remainder of the term.
Commissioner Dale Elmlund Vacates Seat
April 21, 2026. Commissioner Dale Elmlund vacates his commission seat early due to a move out of state. The Port thanks the Commissioner for his service and dedication to the citizens of the Port district. MasonWebTV, reports on the meeting here.
Evergreen State College Lichenologists Survey Lichens at Sanderson Field
March 25, 2026. A small group of lichenologists from Evergreen State College surveyed lichen on the oak trees at Sanderson Field.
