September 15, 2026 Port Commissioners approved a one-year lease with brand new tenant Drawerology. Drawerology manufactures customized drawer organizers and creates organization solutions using premium acrylic, wood and foam.

August 4, 2026 Port Commissioners tour the in depth operations happening at Trufab Precision Fabrications. President Greg Urbina showed the great work he and his team have been performing for the Boeing Company, Department of Defense, aswell as others. This company is an essential asset to the Port, our community, and the aviation industry as a whole! 

July 1, 2026 Port Commissioners are given a tour of 130 W Corporate Road Space A, the 11,500 square foot future site of Olympic Mountain Ice Cream. The new base of operations will be a hive of activity with a production space containing floor drains and mix making areas with space for 7 different ice cream machines, a utility room, a walk in freezer and cooler, a warehouse space with loading doc, and most importantly space designated for a tasting room and store for the public. Construction for OMIC’s future base of operations is set to be completed by October 19, 2026. 

July 1, 2026 Sugar & Bean celebrate two years in business at the Port of Shelton today. They are celebrating by offering every customer a FREE 16oz drink with a purchase! Business is booming and the company plan to open a second location in Des Moines!

June 2, 2026 The Port Commissioners had there regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday. Jeff Neely was sworn in as Port Commissioner and the Commissioners approved a change order for the Olympic Mountain Ice Cream project. Also on the agenda Finance Director Tricia Needham presented the Ports 2025 Annual Financial Report which was due to the State Auditor May 30th.

May 14, 2026. The Commission appoint Jeff Neely to fill the vacant Commissioner seat. Jeff Neely will be sworn in at the next Commissioners meeting June 2, 2026.

April 28, 2026. A special meeting was held to begin the process to fill Commission seat Position Number 1. The Commissioners nominated Jeff Neely for the position. Registered voters within the Port district may sugguest additional qualified candidates. The Port will be accepting nominations until 4pm on May 13, 2026. Candidates must be registered voters and reside in the Port district to be considered. After the submission period closes, the Board will hold a special meeting to review all eligible candidates and appoint a new commissioner to serve the remainder of the term.

April 21, 2026. Commissioner Dale Elmlund vacates his commission seat early due to a move out of state. The Port thanks the Commissioner for his service and dedication to the citizens of the Port district. MasonWebTV, reports on the meeting here.

March 25, 2026. A small group of lichenologists from Evergreen State College surveyed lichen on the oak trees at Sanderson Field.

February 17, 2026. Mason County Sportsman’s Association show the Port Commissioners their gun range. The tour included showing their new backstop and sharing important safety measures they have in place.
